Manq'a Restaurante

Foods are good, loved their soup and desserts. The sauces on the dishes are flavorful and tasty. Must try their desserts! The staff was nice and gave us suggestion on tour route for our half day lay over at La Paz.

Recommended by our hosts, Manq’a was an absolute delight! Everything we tried was delicious, from humble empanadas, which were unbelievably light and flavorful, to every single dish that followed. The food quality, presentation, and service were outstanding. Honestly, we’ve dined at Michelin-starred restaurants, and the level of care and taste here rivals some of them. Great wines, excellent attention to detail, and incredibly reasonable prices, dinner for two with wine came to around £20! If this restaurant were in London, it would surely have a long waiting list and prices 10–20 times higher. A must-visit in La Paz!

Amazing culinary experience with authentic Bolivian recipes, but then a bit fancier. The wine pairings were nice, but the dessert blew our minds with how good it was. Overall very much recommended!

A famous spot for many tourists with a good reason to be. They offer all the time a set menu that includes starter (salad or soup), main dish and dessert for 85 bolivianos (Aug, 2025). Everything was very tasty so we went twice during our short stay in La Paz. For vegetarians, they have two salads and three main meals. (One salad is vegan and one main meal is vegan) We tried 3 different types of desserts and everything was so good and well presented. If you are in town, make sure to try it out, you would better make a reservation.

After reading rave reviews about the restaurant, I went there on my first day at La Paz. I was seated straightaway though i didnt have a reservation. The three course menu in English was presented to me. There were so many options to choose from veg, vegan, fish, meat. I had a salad for started, fish for mains and a vegan chocolate cake for dessert. All of them very very delicious, top quality presentation and ingredients. The staff was very friendly and between my limited Spanish and google translate they managed to feed and water me in the best possible way. I will be heading there again for a meal soon. By the way, the portion sizes were huge so go empty stomach. I wasnt able to finish my main course although it was very delicious. For less than 100 BOL, the food was top notch. Many restaurants in Europe will charge 10 times for same quality and standards (then add a service charge and ask you to leave within 2 hours, highly likely you still feeling hungry).

Food was absolutely delicious!! Better than a lot of restaurants I’ve eaten in in London and New York. It felt like a fine dining experience. Their chef is very talented. The prices are incredibly reasonable. Great service as well.
